LED Downlights Guide
AC 230V LED Downlights
Nothing to change with this option! Simply remove your old downlights and replace with the new and energy efficient LED downlights.
DC 12V LED Downlights
You will need a Magnetic Transformer for your LED Downlights to operate effectively. The Magnetic Transformer. Electronic transformers do not work with our LED downlights!
In most cases your home or business will have the magnetic transformer installed, if you have an electronic transformer and want to install LED downlights then you have 2 options:
- Remove the electronic transformers and replace with magnetic transformers
- Remove the electronic transformers and convert the downlight fittings to 220v (GU10, E14, E27) This is the most cost effective and better option since all transformers use electricity and when something goes wrong the transformer is usually that something.
Dimmable LED Downlights
We have specially designed dimmable LED lights.
Our dimmable LED lights only work with push button dimmer switches only! You will need to purchase a specially designed dimmer module to refit any existing modules in your dimmer switches. We can also provide the entire switch and dimmer module for you.
Each module can run up to 12 LED lights so make sure you have enough to run all the rooms you are going to put dimmables into.
